Last Tuesday in Wewak

Dave and I busied ourselves with a few smaller projects today. One was to install indicator lights on the building that will notify staff whether the City Power is on or whether the compound is running on Generator Power. We also finalized a few drawings and then we went to the Samaritan Aviation compound with Mike and Brian from Friends In Action and installed a standby generator there. The transfer switch is a manual one and we mounted it beside the existing electrical panel. We had to make this connection "Hot" as we could not get enough slack wire in the meter to do it otherwise. This will be a real blessing to the staff here and we are glad we had the time to make this project happen.

This evening we had dinner with Derek and LaShawn and their children. Derek runs the NTM store here and he orders and distributes all the supplies for the missionaries who are on site here or are in tribal locations throughout the Sepik Region. It has been great to get to know this fine family and we have again felt that we are getting to know more and more about how the Lord is working in this vast nation.

We did get word that Shane and Gerard have finally made it home to their homes in the US. We are thankful for their help with us here and are relieved that they have had safe albeit delayed flights. We look forward to being together with them on future I-TEC projects.
